Alumnus of the 2019 Johnny Mercer Foundation Songwriters Project has been named a recipient of the 2021 Kleban Prize.
Benjamin Scheuer, alumnus of the 2010 Johnny Mercer Foundation Songwriters Project, has been named a recipient of the 2021 Kleban Prize. He is well known for his very successful one-man musical theatre show The Lion. Benjamin has also published several albums and written two children’s books with his wife, Jemima Williams.
The Kleban Prize is given annually by The Kleban Foundation to a lyricist and a librettist of extraordinary promise. It is intended to help give these individuals the resources they need to fully realize their potential.
