This July, Inspire Music and Stream Park have a treat in store for the whole family as they present a festival of culture, learning, and wellbeing at an interactive digital park with artists, community groups, schools, and some of Nottinghamshire’s finest arts organizations including the Nottingham Playhouse, Inspire Youth Arts, Inspire Libraries, NTU, UoN, Community Recording Studio, The Show Show and more!

UPBEAT Festival of Culture, Learning and Wellbeing has something for everyone from music, theatre, dance, comedy, poetry, art, and much more. Mark has worked with some of today’s top vocal talent including Ariana Grande, Jessie J, and Beverly Knight, and has worked on many TV programs such as BBC’s Our Dementia Choir with Vicky McClure.

The festival’s ‘Culture Stage’ will feature Rosalie Craig, Sandra Marvin, Jodie Prenger, and Sara Poyzer from the Nottingham Playhouse, the Johnny Mercer Foundation’s 2020 Songwriters, Gradfest UK, Philip Joel, Electric Light Orchestra’s Dave Scott-Morgan and many others. The stage will be hosted by Tom Ling and Geddy Stringer of The Show Show podcast, who aim to raise money for Industry Minds, a mental health charity supporting members of the arts.

UPBEAT Festival will take place on an innovative digital platform, Stream Park, and will be produced by Inspire Music and Stream Park (Joel Hall) and co-produced by The Show Show (Tom Ling and Geddy Stringer), building on last year’s UPLOAD Virtual Festival, which brought together over 150 acts and organizations. Audience members will be able to socialize and interact with different elements of the digital park as if they were actually there! This is being developed in partnership with the Mixed Reality Lab at the University of Nottingham, Oxfam GB and Live Cinema UK through Horizon Digital Economy Research.
